I wanted to spend the only 3 days with my girlfriend in peace but due to a misunderstanding (on the hotels part), I was constantly bothered by calls which took away from experience

Atlantis has great entertaiment opportunities such as great aquapark on site - not a lot slides but they are really great, they give you the WOW affect. Also it's Marine Habitat - a lot of fish species, big windows, we came there everyday. Beach near Coral Tower is good - the golden middle between waves and calm water. Also a lot of pools, river. We booked Beach Tower but stayed in Coral -Reef ring - with view on pool with sharks.
The food on site is quite expensive. My friend lost his golden chain two days before departure, we came to different services several times to find it, but they even didn't ask us for room number.

The staff were friendly & helpful, the room was kept clean & tidy. The facilities for an enclosed beach/water park holiday were amazing, shopping though expensive was good It was a one off experience, the grounds & communal areas were palatial, plenty of wow factor, but it would not keep me entertained for a 2 week break
When booking we were not informed about the daily charges of the pitda/npips Levy $15.92, Hotel guest tax $19.90, ct/bt Gratuity $10.00, ct/bt Utility Service fee $27.90 which over 3 nights added a further $221.16 or £147.44 to the overall stay. Also the restaurants were open on a rota basis so you could`nt eat at the ones we wanted on the nights we wanted to. We found the room no better than many we have stayed in over the years in the States. Some of the Restaurants had family service sized meals which would be fine for families or groups, but both wasteful & expensive for couples, which also cut your choice of restaurant down given that they opened on rota.

Although the Beach Tower is not as "new" as the more popular Atlantis Towers, I felt the Beach Tower was less crowed, more relaxed, easier to move about, close beach access
They offer no pool side service ie no attendants to serve food and drink. Which also meant no clean-up service if the guests did not clean up after themselves then mess was left until end of day cleanup. Their pool bar/restaurant workers seem lacking of management, slow, lots if wasted efforts, duplication of efforts

The whole story about it is excellent.
The elevators are from time to time to crowded, and then they stay closed 5-10 min what is not pleasent, They should have some alarm for overweight.

The amenities and how close everything is.
How slow some of the staff is. They were never in a rush that's for sure. I think the quickest people worked at Starbucks.

Great place for choice of entertainment- swimming pools, slides, club, casino, cinema ... The list goes on. Helpful staff.
The additional costs- they charge +15% on everything, as well as +$30/night for 'utility charge'. The prices of the dining is just ridiculous. If the quality was there it would be understandable, but its not justifiable. Also be warned the bottled water in the room is not free- $7/bottle.

Close enough to all amenities and Marina.
It is old and the rooms could be doing with a little bit of a facelift.
